About Us
The National Deaf High School Theatre Festival is an educational theatrical festival for young Deaf actors across the United States.
The NDHSTF gives young Deaf performers the ability to perform on a national stage, refine their skills through competition and feedback, use ASL as their medium for acting, witness professional theatre in an accessible language, and socialize with like-minded Deaf peers.
2022 Summer Camp Program
The National Deaf High School Theatre Festival is the leading theatre programming venue for Deaf student actors across the nation. With the overwhelming success of our Fall programming, we invite students to join us for our Summer 2022 Theatre Camp.
The 2022 NDHSTF Summer Program is a 1 week theatre camp hosted at the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind. Program and activities will be hosted by best in class instructors and give students a professional theatrical experience.
Programming will include acting, visual vernacular, comedy/improv and fun student bonding outings to professional regional theatre's and fun extra curricular activities (did someone say water park)!

Summer Program Categories
ACTING
1 person, 2-4 min, from published script
VISUAL VENACULAR
2-3 people, 3-5 min, from a published script
COMEDY / IMPROV
4+ people, 5-10 min, from a published script
asl artistic expression
1+ person, 1-5 min, original or borrowed ASL poetry/story/VV
Theatre arts
Mime, dance, set design, original script, makeup, editing, animation, etc.
